In an effort to keep up with rising consumer expectations, eBay has been working to keep their buyers happy by rolling out new features; the most recent of which being product-based shopping.
Taking a leaf out of Amazon’s book, eBay has started offering product-based shopping options for a limited selection of brands (including Apple, Dyson, and Google).
Any retailer selling these products must match the eBay IDs to the eBay catalogue, which will group all identical items under one page.
Listings of the same products will be grouped together, making the customer journey faster and more convenient by enabling simpler comparison of things such as prices and delivery options.
This new selling requirement will extend to more categories later in 2018.
