Social media: Too much too soon?

According to the latest Digital Life report from TNS, which surveyed 72,000 web users from across 60 nations, many businesses may be creating "digital waste" via their social media marketing campaigns. According to the findings, 61% of Britons "have no desire to interact with brands on social media sites", such as Facebook and Twitter.

The "digital waste" term refers to the mountains of friendless Facebook accounts and un-read blog posts that many brands have floating around cyberspace. However, this doesn't mean that social media marketing isn't effective. The report also states that 54% (across all countries) admitted that social networks are a good place to learn about brands - even if they don't necessarily use in their buying process.

It's crucial that a brand figures out who it wants to communicate with, and what about, before implementing a social media campaign. Intelligent Reach has experience in creating Facebook shops and ad campaigns for brands - which with the right amount of thought and planning, can increase conversions and revenues severalfold. You just have to make sure your brand is ready - and when it is, never fear, we have the tools to make sure your social media campaign is a hit, not a miss.
